Last Resort: Backing up and Wiping Data
If you don't think you'll be able to recover your device, but it still has an internet connection, you can back up your address book, and then wipe some or all of the data on the device.
You should first try to locate your device if you haven't already, and then perform a backup remotely as described in the section Starting a Backup from a Web Browser.
Once the backup has completed successfully, return to the Missing Device tab and click Wipe.
